INTERLOCK
 |
"Interlock"
- What are the advantages over claw locks?
The lock is self-supporting, in other words,
the karabiner has the same strength whether
the gate is open or closed. The breaking load
of the karabiner is increased by the use of
a synthetic threaded section (glass-fiber
reinforced and stable at temperatures -70
C/+200 C) which prevents the build-up of stresses.
The screw gate is restricted on both side
by the threaded section and its only function
is to secure the gate. On srew gate does not
affect the breaking load of the karabiner
and it can be released when under load.
The gate can be opened under a load of up
to 1200N and springs back to the closed position.
Thanks to the slender design of the locking
eye, roaps can not catch when clipping in
or out. |
